OBYC Facilities |

OBYC has a new clubhouse with a kitchen and restrooms. A telephone is available for local calls; long distance calls may be made by using telephone credit card.Private use of the clubhouse is limited to members and their guests. Wedding receptions are restricted to those in which the bride or groom is a relative of a member. Members wishing to use the facilities for private functions must submit a request form click here). Our docking facilities have 9 feet of water at low tide, with room for dinghy tie-up. Water is available at the float, but due to well limits, please conserve water. Gasoline is sold to club members only. The nearest commercial provider of fuel is Cook's Lobsterhouse, located not far from OBYC. The nearest market is approximately 3 miles away.
The club owns four Hunter 140s, two Lasers, one Laser II, and eight Optimists, as well as three dinghies.Eight guest moorings for visiting yachts are provided for a donation of $20 per night, with a limit of two nights. Guest Moorings

OBYC does not rent moorings, however guest moorings are available on a first-come, first served basis for use by visiting yachts. A donation of $20 per night is expected and allows for use of the facilities during your visit. It may be given to the dock attendant or deposited in the mailbox at the top of the ramp. Thank you! |

Water is available at the float, however due to well limits, please conserve water. Trash disposal is in the Dumpster located to the right of the front porch. Heads are available for use in the Clubhouse. Please tie up dinghies on the inside of the south float. Gas and Diesel may be obtained at Cook's Lobsterhouse dock. The closest restaurants are the Salt Cod Café (located in the red building just before the Cribstone Bridge) and Cook's Lobsterhouse (go across Cribstone Bridge, up the hill a bit, and take a right on to Garrison Cove Road to the end). If, for some emergency reason, you or your boat needs to stay beyond the two-day limit, please call Doug Nelson at 207-443-9394. Conditions of Use: Use of OBYC facilities and moorings is at the sole risk of persons using the same. OBYC makes no representation as to the safety or adequacy of its facilities for the intended use of visitors nor does it assume the care, custody or control of vessels while on moorings or at its dock. Neither OBYC nor any of its directors, officers, members or employees shall be liable to the owner or crew of the vessel or anyone claiming under such owner for any damage to property or persons on or near OBYC premises or anchorage. Use of OBYC moorings or facilities acknowledges that the vessel owner releases OBYC, its directors, officers, members and employees from all claims and liabilities to any such damage or injury.
